About Solo Stack Report
Solo Stack Report publishes sourced, dated research on the tools solo businesses and creators run on, and says plainly how it earns money.
What this site is
If you run a business on your own, you probably pay for a pile of single-purpose apps and lose time moving work between them. Solo Stack Report looks at what that costs, and at whether consolidating onto fewer tools (including general-purpose AI agents) is worth it. We publish reviews, research and short news updates, and we try to keep each one useful enough to act on in a few minutes.
How we work
- Research-based unless stated. Most of our reviews are labelled "Research-based review". That means we read the vendor's pricing and product pages, documentation, and public third-party reviews and ratings, and we report what they say. We do not claim hands-on testing we have not done. If a page is hands-on tested, it says so at the top.
- Everything is dated and sourced. Prices and claims carry the date we checked them, and each review lists its sources. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking one quietly.
- Vendor claims are labelled as vendor claims. A company's own testimonials, user counts and benchmarks are marketing until someone independent confirms them.
- No invented numbers. No made-up scores, quotes or testimonials. Where we do our own arithmetic, such as an annual price, we label it as ours.
- Corrections. If we find or are told we got something wrong, we fix the page and show an updated date.
How the site earns money
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. Pages that contain them say so at the top. Affiliate status does not change what we write or whether we mention a limitation. As of October 10, 2026, our only active affiliate relationship is with Runable. Our reviews of Screen Studio, Tight Studio and ChatSlide contain no affiliate links. If that changes, the page will say so.
What we cover, and what we don't
We cover AI agents, no-code and workflow tools, and the software stacks of solo operators, freelancers and small creator businesses. We do not review enterprise software, and we do not give legal, tax or financial advice. Check prices on the vendor's own site before you buy, because they change often.
