Runable Review (2026): Pricing, Credits and Who It Fits

A general-purpose agent that tries to replace several single-job apps with one credit balance, which only pays off if the credits last.

Published October 10, 2026

If you pay for separate tools for slides, sites, documents and research, can one agent subscription replace enough of them to be worth $20 a month?

Could replace

Several light-use single-purpose subscriptions (a slide tool, a simple site builder, a note-taker) if you only need each now and then, plus the time spent moving drafts between them.

Keep instead

Specialist tools where precision matters (Canva or Figma for design, a video editor for finished video), and any tool that holds regulated or customer data.

Runable is a general-purpose AI agent. Instead of doing one job well, it aims to build websites, slides, documents, images, video and research from one workspace and one credit balance. This is a research-based review. We have not hands-on tested the product. Everything below comes from Runable's own pricing and product pages plus public third-party reviews and user ratings, all checked on 10 October 2026, and we say where a claim comes from the vendor alone. We earn a commission if you sign up through our link, which does not change what we write.

The question it answers for a solo operator: if you pay for separate tools for slides, sites, documents and research, can one agent subscription replace enough of them to be worth $20 a month? That is the core idea behind the Tool Sprawl Tax: every extra subscription costs money and time moving work between apps. The catch with any all-in-one agent is that you pay in credits, so the real question is how long the credits last on your own work.

What Runable does

Runable is an AI agent that takes an instruction, plans the work and produces finished output: websites and apps, slides and carousels, images and video, and documents and research. It runs on a mix of third-party AI models and charges against a monthly and daily credit balance.

According to the vendor, the free plan already includes website and app building, slides and carousels, image and video creation, document and research tools, a notetaker, a workflow builder, and access to a library of 3,000+ plugins. The paid plans add curated workflows, a personal assistant that works inside chat apps such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, iMessage and Discord, and website extras such as a free database, analytics, Stripe integration, a free sub-domain and Android and iOS app building. The vendor lists nine models, including GPT 6 Astra, Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5.0 and Gemini 3.5 Flash.

A hands-on review on Unite.AI (12 August 2026) describes a Plan Mode that asks clarifying questions and shows a plan before building, direct editing on a canvas, a memory for preferences such as brand colours, and exports to PDF, PPTX, MP4, PNG, XLSX and CSV, plus website deployment with custom domains. Runable's homepage lists apps for iPhone, iPad, macOS and Android, with Windows marked "Coming Soon".

The pricing page shows an annual toggle labelled "Save 25%" but does not display annual dollar totals, so the annual column is our own calculation of 25% off the monthly price; confirm the exact figure at checkout. Max adds unlimited chats in Ask mode. We could not find a published refund policy on the pages we reviewed, and the terms and refund addresses we tried did not load, so ask Runable before paying for a year. Pricing moves: one reviewer recorded a different plan structure in June 2026 (Starter, Pro and Unlimited at different prices), so treat any price you read elsewhere, including here, as a snapshot.

How do the credits work, and do they last?

Every task spends credits, and bigger tasks spend more. The free plan gives 1,500 credits a day that do not roll over, so unused credits expire. Pro and Max add a monthly pool on top of the daily allowance. Independent reviewers agree that heavy work, especially video, uses credits quickly.

No source we found publishes reliable credit costs per task, so you cannot calculate your bill in advance. Unite.AI warns that credits "can disappear quickly" on larger tasks, particularly video generation, and suggests using Plan Mode before building and editing directly on the canvas rather than asking the agent to redo work. Findstack's editorial review notes that unused daily credits do not carry over, which penalises uneven weeks. An April 2026 test by Future Stack Reviews, on a different plan structure at the time, found usage varied widely between runs of the same kind, including one case where a mid tier used more credits than the top tier. That is a single tester's result and not a current measurement, but it supports the same advice: run your own typical task on the free plan and watch the balance before you pay.

1,500 / day
The free daily credit allowance listed by the vendor. It resets daily and does not accumulate, so the cheapest test is to run one real job per day on the free plan for a week before upgrading.

What do users and reviewers say?

We have not run our own tests, so we looked at what others report publicly, and the evidence is thin and uneven.

Hands-on review. Janine Heinrichs at Unite.AI tested Runable in August 2026 by researching tools, building a visual comparison and exporting a PDF report. She calls it a great option for one place to research, build and create different content types, but says it does not replace specialist tools such as Canva, Figma or Premiere, that output needs checking for facts and design, and that complex projects can need several rounds of edits. Unite.AI says it may be compensated when readers click through to products it reviews.

Trustpilot. On Trustpilot Runable scores 3.3 out of 5, but from only four reviews in the past year, split evenly between five stars and one star. The five-star reviewers (July 2026) praise the price for the feature set and one rates its output above a competing agent. One of the one-star reviewers (4 September 2026) says there is no way to delete an account and data and that chat and email went unanswered. The other (June 2026) alleges a scam without giving details; Runable replied in July asking the reviewer to contact support. Trustpilot also notes the company has not invited customers to review recently, so four ratings are not a representative sample.

Second tester. Takashi Fujino of Future Stack Reviews, who discloses an affiliate relationship with Runable, tested in April 2026 and updated the article in June. He reported that mentions in a shared Discord channel failed in five of five attempts (not retested at the time of the update), and that he could not find a public data processing agreement, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, or EU data residency. He recommends it only for solo creators testing visual output who can cancel after a month, and advises against it for customer or regulated data. We treat these as one person's findings from earlier in the year, and Runable may have changed things since.

Vendor claims. Runable's homepage carries testimonial stories with results such as booking increases and hours saved. They are attributed to first names and job roles only, with no company names, so we treat them as marketing and do not repeat the numbers.

Strengths and limitations

What the evidence supports: a wide range of output types in one workspace; a free tier that lets you test before paying; a plan-first workflow that shows its approach before spending credits; memory for brand preferences; and a low entry price for the paid tier compared with stacking several specialist subscriptions.

Limitations to weigh: credit use is hard to predict and heavy tasks drain it fast; daily credits do not roll over; it is a generalist, so output is less precise than specialist tools; results need human review; the company is young (founded 2025) and public documentation on teams, seat roles and compliance is thin; the Windows desktop app is not yet available; and the small Trustpilot sample includes complaints about account deletion and support responsiveness.

Who should consider it, and who should skip it

Consider it if you are a solo operator or creator who regularly makes a mix of slides, pages, documents and research, you are paying for two or more single-purpose tools you only use now and then, and you are willing to test credit use on the free plan first. At $20 a month (about $15 on annual billing by our arithmetic), Pro only pays for itself if it replaces at least that much in subscriptions or hours.

Skip it if your main recurring job is one thing a specialist does better and more cheaply (for turning documents into decks, see our ChatSlide review), you handle customer or regulated data, you need team seats and admin controls, or you need precise design and video control. A general agent is the opposite of a specialist: it saves tool sprawl but gives up depth.

Methodology and limits of this review

Research-based, not hands-on tested. We reviewed Runable's public homepage and pricing page and public third-party reviews and ratings on 10 October 2026. We did not build anything, measure credit use or check export quality ourselves, so claims about quality and speed belong to the vendor or the named reviewers. Some of the reviewers we cite disclose affiliate relationships, as do we. Features and prices change; verify before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Runable cost?

Per the vendor's pricing page on 10 October 2026: Free at $0 with 1,500 credits a day, Pro at $20 a month with 25,000 monthly credits plus the daily 1,500, and Max at $100 a month with 150,000 monthly credits plus the daily 1,500. Annual billing is advertised as 25% off.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan gives 1,500 credits a day and, per the vendor, access to website, slide, image, video and document tools. The daily credits reset each day and do not roll over.

Do unused credits roll over?

Daily credits do not, according to Findstack's editorial review. We could not find a published rollover policy for the monthly credits on Pro and Max, so check before buying.

Does Runable work on Windows?

Runable's homepage lists apps for iPhone, iPad, macOS and Android and shows Windows as "Coming Soon". We did not confirm what a browser version covers, so test your workflow before paying.

Is it safe for client or customer data?

We could not verify that. One reviewer in April 2026 found no public data processing agreement, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification or EU data residency, and a Trustpilot reviewer reported trouble deleting an account. Until Runable publishes clear compliance documents, avoid putting regulated or sensitive customer data into it.

Can I get a refund?

We did not find a refund policy on the pages we reviewed. The only refund language we saw was a company reply to a Trustpilot review in July 2026. Ask support, and avoid prepaying for a year until you have tested the free plan.

How does Runable compare with a specialist tool like ChatSlide?

Runable covers many output types but charges in credits and is less precise. A specialist such as ChatSlide does one job, turning existing material into decks, on a fixed monthly price. If decks are your only recurring need, the specialist may cost less.
